The Jeff Short Big Swing Band & Singers

Our Big Band consists of 16 musicians playing 5 Saxes, 4 Trombones, 4 Trumpets, Piano, Bass & Drums,
Plus Male & Female Vocalists.

This orchestra is very good for that 'Special Occasion' but requires a fair size space or stage to perform on-around 28' X 15'

The Big Band has its own Lighting/Stands/and P.A. Systems.

Our Big Band wears Colorful Evening Wear for Functions -
or Authentic made to measure AAF Military Uniforms for 40's Style Theme Nights
Male & Female Singers add showmanship and fun, to your night!

We can also supply a certain amount of Stage & Hall Bunting, including flags, posters & sandbags if required.

We play music to suit your occasion - In tempos that you can dance to!

A large number of Big Band Classics are also available - from Glenn Miller, Arti Shaw, Count Basie & Benny Goodman to Ted Heath & James Last: with a varied pad of Latin American numbers from the Edmundo Ros library.
This repertoire also enables us to peform a fully staged Concert Performance if needs be.

We also have Party Pop Medleys, Jump Jive Medleys, Sing-a-Long Medleys and Show tunes of Today!

So, even if you or your crowd don't dance much, they can sit back, listen to the band and enjoy the show!
We are also licensed to play recorded Dinner Music (at no extra cost to you) during any interval of buffet break -
or you can book our wonderful Pianist or Trio to play through your meal or buffet.

Before booking any band it is alway advisable to check that they are fully insured.
Our Big Band has Full Public Liability Insurance through EQUITY & All electrics are P.A.T. tested & certified.

A new feature to our more recent bookings is that we are now able to offer a 'Dance Cabaret Spot' by championship level dancers for our 'Come Strictly Dancing' evenings.
